The TABY Tray was developed by parents struggling with the task of making travel a pleasant experience for the whole family. The TABY Tray fits on many car seats and strollers. Older children and adults can use the tray as a convenient lap tray.
The TABY Tray will adapt to most car seats by fastening a nylon strap under the seat and to both sides of the tray. A plastic buckle is provided on both sides of the tray for convenience. Car seats with arm rests on the side, or a bar across the front (as pictured above) will adapt nicely to the tray. It also works well on car seats and booster seats that do NOT have a bar across the front.
The tray will also fit on strollers with a front bar. Unfortunately, umbrella strollers don't adapt well with the tray. Can you see a use for the tray if you're at the food court at the mall, at a park, walking around the block? We could too.
Everyone can use the tray as a lap tray, even big kids. Have you ever raced through a fast food restraunt between kids sporting events. You know - grab lunch on the way, change in the car, etc. The TABY Tray does a great job of containing the mess. Don't leave home without it! Speaking about home, would it work for snacks in front of the TV or for homework while sitting in bed? You bet it does. It even works for adult craft projects.
TABY Tray Safety Considerations
Design: The tray was designed with both function and safety in mind. Functionally, the tray fits a variety of car seats and strollers because of the adjustable nylon web belt and fastening buckles. The tray can conveniently be installed and removed from either side of the tray which promotes proper installation.
Materials: The plastic material used for the tray is ABS plastic. This is the same sturdy plastic used for football helmits and other demanding applications. The material is hard, yet flexible. It can easily be kept clean. It is not brittle or subject to cracking. It will not warp in the heat of an enclosed parked car in the summer. And, the white plastic source is not hot to the touch as other interior car parts are when you first get into the car.
Below you can see the tray viewed from the top. The picture props are not included, but the tray comes with a convenient juice cup holder, a rounded edge to contain the "mess", a crayon tray, and a surface large enough to fit a coloring book (8 1/2" x 11"). The black straps on the side wrap under a car seat or stroller to secure the tray. Notice the variety of tray colors. You have a choice of white or white. Actually there is a good reason. When the tray is enclosed in a hot car in the summer, the white tray is not hot when first touched when you open the car.
